Woodbury Update at FAC Meeting


The Facilities Advisory Committee (FAC) received an update on Woodbury during their meeting on Monday, May 5. Architects from GPD Group presented the latest information on designing the Woodbury building, including the latest site plan and design concepts. GPD Group presented drawings to show pedestrian walkways, landscaping, and parking areas.


Members of the FAC shared questions and feedback on traffic and parking on Woodbury Road, which the architects are taking into consideration as they continue to revise the site plan. FAC members also suggested sharing information on the District’s Long-Term Master Facilities Plan webpage, which will be updated with more information, renderings, and photos. 


Architects will appear before the City Planning Commission on Tuesday, May 13 for site plan review.

Ludlow Renovation Ongoing


The Ludlow renovation is moving forward as planned. On the second floor, the construction team is working on drywall finishing, and painting in select classrooms. On the first floor, drywall installation is taking place, and drywall finishing in select classrooms. New brick infill is also ongoing for the new vestibule entrances at Ludlow.

Meeting with Ludlow Community Association


A member of the District leadership team attended the Ludlow Community Association meeting earlier this week. A traffic flow plan was shared with members of the association, in addition to renderings of the Ludlow playground. Residents shared their satisfaction with the expansion of the Ludlow playground to include equipment for preschool and older children.
