Temporary Ludlow Playground Closure

The playground at the Ludlow Early Learning Center will be closed on Saturday, September 27, until 2 p.m. Gilbane Building Company will remove the scaffolding in the playground. To ensure that no debris from the scaffolding remains, contractors will also replace the mulch around the playground.

Ongoing Partial Demolition at Woodbury

Partial demolition is ongoing at Woodbury. Abatement is underway in the center of the building, which will be retained and renovated. Demolition of the west wing is expected this coming week. Mesh and graphics for the construction fence will be installed shortly. Woodbury will reopen in Fall 2027 as the new Middle Years building for Grades 6-8.

Upcoming Facilities Updates

The Shaker Heights Schools are committed to providing regular updates on our Long-Term Master Facilities Plan. As projects are completed, such as the Ludlow Early Learning Center, there are fewer facilities updates available. The facilities newsletter will come out on an as-needed basis to keep the community informed about renovation projects as there is new information available.
