The Shaker Heights City School District is pleased to provide updates on the latest developments with various renovation projects as a part of the District’s Long-Term Master Facilities Plan. The District's commitment to enhancing the educational environment for students continues to drive these efforts.

Ongoing Partial Demolition at Woodbury


Partial demolition is underway and ahead of schedule at Woodbury. The pool, gym and west wing have been demolished, and the east wing is expected to be torn down in the coming week. Mass demolition is expected to be complete by the end of September. The center building will be retained and renovated.

Facilities Advisory Committee Meeting on September 8


The Facilities Advisory Committee will meet on Monday, September 8. Architects from GPD Group and Robert P. Madison International will present interior Woodbury renderings and provide more information on the scope of elementary renovations.

Ludlow Receives Occupancy Permit


The Ludlow Early Learning Center has received an occupancy permit from the City of Shaker Heights. The preschool faculty and staff will begin setting up classrooms next week to prepare for the start of school on September 15. A fire inspection at Ludlow met all safety requirements earlier today. Contractors will finish pouring sidewalks on the east side of the building next week.
