Join Us at the October Council-Wide Roundtable on 10/13 or 10/19
At this in-person meeting, Buckeye Council leaders can expected to receive all the information related to rechartering for the upcoming season, as well as the turn in process to receive free rank for 2022. This meeting will take place on 10/13, 7pm at Gorman Rupp in Mansfield or 10/19, 7pm at Stark State in Canton.

All Out Blitz Forms Due Monday, 10/3
The All Out Blitz is happening now, any Scout who sells $400 or more by October 3 will receive a $20 Amazon gift card! OR sell $700 by October 3 and receive a $40 Amazon gift card!

Popcorn Orders are due by 11:59pm on Monday, October 31 and any returns are to be brought to People's Services in Canton (2207 Kimball Rd SE, Canton, OH 44707) from 11-6pm on 10/31This is a new location!

If your unit needs additional popcorn, awesome! Fill out this form to request more popcorn to be picked up from the Buckeye Council.

Attend Family Adventure Camp with Your Pack!
Family Adventure Camps are back and better than ever! You're invited this fall to go camping with your Cub Scout Pack, family or den at an upcoming Family Adventure Camp! You'll get to camp, go fishing, launch rockets, roast marshmallows, camp in a tent, and so much more! All participants will receive lunch on Saturday, an event patch, and all youth will receive a model rocket to build and launch. Scouts BSA Troops are invited to attend and volunteer at stations on Saturday! If interested, contact us. NOTE: registration is on leadscouting.org, NOT buckeyecouncil.org

Test Your Shooting Skills at the First Annual Marksmanship Day - 10/8
The Buckeye Council Marksmanship and Safety Committee is proud to present the first annual Marksmanship Shooting Sports Day in honor of Doug Woodhall on October 8, 2022 at the Silver Dollar Sportsman Club (5040 Secrest Rd, Wooster, OH 44691.) The event will feature rifle ranges, shotgun ranges, archery ranges, and possibly a cowboy action range.
 
The cost of the event will be $20 per shooter and will include unlimited shooting for the day. Camping will be available on a first deposit basis due to space restrictions. A non-refundable fee of $25 is required to reserve a camping spot. Questions? Contact Jim Nixon

Chainsaw Safety Training
If you are planning to use a chainsaw at a Good Turn Weekend, make sure you get Chainsaw Safety trained. There is a training on 10/7-8 at Seven Ranges! Chain saw operators must be at least 21 years old. We will only be able to allow 10 participants and the cost is $50 for the weekend. All participants must have steel toe boots. You will not be able to participate if you do not arrive with steel to boots. You may bring your own chainsaw and PPE. Learning journals will be provided.

Next Steps: UMC & BSA

The UMC organization is encouraging local churches to change from a traditional Charter Agreement to a new model. Some of these options will require units to charter to a new organization. Units chartered to UMC churches must select a path forward and complete any necessary paperwork by 12/31/22.

Adult Volunteer Opportunities at Camp McKinley & Seven Ranges
Both Camp McKinley and Seven Ranges are always looking for adult volunteers to come out to camp to do repair projects. Head out to Seven Ranges on Tuesdays to gather with the Busy Beavers or the second Saturday at Camp McKinley to join the White Eyes volunteer group!
