Last week, 81 FHS students are competing at the MA DECA State Conference for a chance to compete at the national competition in April. Students are competing with their business and marketing plans, project management plans, career development projects, and solutions to case studies. We are very proud to share that 25 FHS DECA students have qualified for nationals and another 23 placed in the Top 10!
FHS Junior, Vayshnav Malhorta is running for MA DECA State Officer. During the State conference, FHS Senior and MA DECA State Officer, Anish Gundimeda, have facilitated workshops on financial literacy and LinkedIn to DECA members across Massachusetts. Over the last week, FHS students have attended workshops on preparing financially after high school, understanding credit, leadership academy, mini Shark Tank workshop, social entrepreneurship, and networking events. We extend our congratulations to all the students who participated and wish our students luck in their competition and efforts!
The SWAC Committee would like to remind our students and families of the importance of consistent attendance - whether you are engaging in school in-person or remotely.
As of today, March 23rd, we have 58 days of school remaining - make each one count!!!
