OCEAN COUNTY SOIL CONSERVATION DISTRICT UPDATE re: COVID-19 PANDEMIC
March 17, 2020

Dear District Partners & Clients,

Please be reassured that the Ocean County Soil Conservation District is open to serve our clients during these uncertain times. However, we are also working to follow the recommendations of the CDC in response to the COVID-19 Pandemic regarding social distancing and avoiding direct person-to-person contact.

To this end, we are asking that any and all business that can be conducted online or over the phone be done in this manner.

For all regulatory business related to the Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Act, the office foyer has been modified to accommodate pick-up and delivery of applications. Site Inspections will be conducted as usual by the field staff, with limited direct person-to-person contact.

Regarding our Education and Outreach initiatives, all programs and events have been canceled through the end of April, 2020.

A staff directory is available on our website at https://www.soildistrict.org/about-us/staff/ and directly emailing or calling specific staff members will be most efficient for contacting them with specific questions. We are also reachable via phone 609-971-7002 during our regular business hours.

Please note that as of now, Ocean County Soil Conservation District is open and plans on staying open and active unless mandated otherwise. We will continue keeping you up to date on your projects and progress as usual. Should you require any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to us via email or phone, but do allow for a reasonable response time as things may be just a bit slower than our usual quick responsiveness.

As we are all addressing the steps necessary to keep our families and communities safe during this time of concern and uncertainty, we at Ocean County Soil Conservation District are doing the same and have implemented steps to address the directives issued by our governmental leaders and health professionals. We hope you are your families stay safe and healthy throughout this crisis.

Sincerely,
Christine Raabe, District Director,
Board of Supervisors, and Staff,
