As part of the District's annual close-out process, the Finance team has implemented these year-end spending deadlines that MUST be strictly adhered to. You can also review this quick reference guide from Procurement Services for actions, timelines and approval details for all types of District purchases.
COVID-19 vaccinations are available for ALL SCS employees March 29-30.

First and second dose vaccinations are available to ALL District employees and critical support partners March 29 and March 30 at the BOE and Teaching & Learning Academy. Use the links below to sign up for an appointment, but please only sign up for one.


Individuals who received their first COVID-19 Pfizer vaccination from SCS are now eligible to receive their second dose. Any remaining SCS employees and critical support partners (i.e. custodians, bus drivers, etc.) who have not previously received a first or second vaccination are also able to sign up.

The 2021 District Climate Survey window is now open. FREE LUNCH for the department and school with the highest completion!

For the second year, SCS has partnered with Panorama Education to administer the survey so all non-instructional employees have an opportunity to provide meaningful employee feedback on improvements to our District culture and climate. Employees will receive a unique link from "support+shelbycounty@panoramed.com" in their SCS email. The survey should only take about 15 minutes or less to complete.

This year's goal is at least 75% participation. As an incentive to meet this goal, the department and school with the highest participation rate will receive catered lunches. The survey window is open through Friday, April 2, so spread the word and let your voice be heard!
Upward & Peer Feedback training is available now! Both feedback processes open April 5.

The live Upward & Peer Feedback training is available for all Central Office & school-based non-instructional employees. Please sign up for PLZ course # 27179. Can't make the LIVE training or prefer to complete it on your own time? Great News! You can take the self-paced version in Canvas to complete at your convenience. For this option, sign up for PLZ course #27182.

Please Note: Only one option is necessary. If you decide to take the live training, you do not have to complete the self-paced training in Canvas. In turn, if you complete the self-paced training in Canvas, you do not have to attend the live training.

Important Reminder: The Upward & Peer Feedback process will open on April 5. The deadline to complete both feedback forms in PLZ is May 31. If you have any questions or require additional assistance, please reach out to EPS at 416.2475 or eps@scsk12.org.
Be sure to share your early notice of retirement or resignation by TOMORROW to help with 2021-22 staffing and EARN INCENTIVES!

Having early notice about instructional employees who plan to leave the District after the school year helps us get a head start on successfully staffing all classrooms for next year. Plus, you can earn some earn incentives for early notice of retirement or resignation.

If you plan to retire from an instructional role after the school year, let us know by TOMORROW to have the remainder of your required PD hours waived and still keep your PD FLEX days! That’s right, you’ll still earn those coveted FLEX days without the mandatory PD requirements if you give us early notice of your retirement. View the details here.

For educators planning to resign at the end of the school year, telling us early means you’ll get extended medical benefits through the summer. Let us know by TOMORROW, and your insurance coverage will continue through July 31 rather than ending the month you resign. Click here for more information.
