Dear Pastor/Friends,
It’s hard to believe that we are just a few days away from the end of the Church year…and only two months from our district assembly in Lubbock! Let’s all join in prayer for a wonderful three days in April!
There are several things I’d like to bring to you attention regarding the assembly and, particularly, pastors’ reporting.
First, we are going to take a break from the zone videos this year. Again this year, each of the pastors will be contributing a one page written report for your congregation. These will be included in the district assembly report booklet. Feel free to prepare this report in any fashion you feel best represents the wonderful things the Lord is doing in your congregation.
Regarding the report booklets…the cost of printing one of these for each delegate is becoming prohibitive (thousands of dollars!) so I am leaning toward providing these as PDF attachments to email…and placing them on the district App. Please help me pray for wisdom regarding this decision. If you don’t yet have the district App on your phone please download it today by following the instructions in the flyer below. Encourage your church leaders and, especially, your district assembly delegates, to do the same
Secondly, I will be selecting ten, or so, pastors to report for their congregations before the entire assembly (just like we all had to do every year a few years back). If you’ve had a very special year, filled with God’s blessings, and you would like to volunteer for this assignment please email me to let me know.
Thirdly, as you will recall, I like to share, with their permission, the testimonies of ten or so of those who have given their hearts to the Lord this past year in your churches. I think this is a great encouragement to all of our churches. Please be thinking of any testimonies (with pictures and permission) that you think would be an encouragement to our delegates.
Finally, Pastor’s, our finance officer, Dan Davisson, is reporting to me that many of you need to get caught up on your district allocation giving. I want to let you know how much we appreciate your attention to this matter…along with each of the allocations (budgets). I remember well the pressure that our lead pastors experience regarding budget payments. I’m confident that you will do your best. Thank you!
