Fall Into Creation Care - THIS SATURDAY

The TWKUMC Creation Care Team for the Northwest has an exciting event coming up this Saturday! This event is geared toward stewardship for congregations. There will be another one in October which is great for those who want to experience God's creation.

New Executive Director of Third Place Ministries

Third Place Ministries (TPM) of Marshall County is excited to announce the appointment of Lisa Sills as their new Executive Director. Lisa has lived and worked in Marshall County for 35 years, serving in many leadership roles and as an active member of Calvert City UMC. With a deep heart for service, she is eager to continue TPM's mission of caring for the community through ministries such as Utility Assistance, Crisis Counseling, Laundry Ministry, Youth Ministry, and more.

Lay Servant Training to be Offered | Open to All TWK Laity

The Cumberland River District will be offering Basic Lay Servant Training on September 6 & 20 at Connell Memorial United Methodist Church in Goodlettsville, TN. All supply pastors, CLS, and CLM are welcome to join in this training. The participant's book can be purchased from Cokesbury or Amazon (ISBN 978-0881776263). The Red River District will offer Basic and Advanced Lay Servant Training at Hilldale United Methodist Church. These courses will be offered in-person and are available to our laity from the Tennessee-Western

Kentucky Conference. We also welcome our supply pastors to join us. More information.

Conference United Women in Faith Annual Meeting | September 27 - REGISTRATION IS OPEN

The Tennessee-Western Kentucky United Women in Faith Annual Meeting will be on Saturday, September 27, 2025 beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Gordon Memorial UMC, 2334 Herman St., Nashville, TN 37208. (Registration and gift basket auction begins at 9 a.m.) Please register by September 15.

Sponsored by ENCORE Ministry Foundation and UT Chattanooga's School of Nursing, Building Community with Older Adults will be in-person and online on October 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Franklin First UMC. Area experts will present topics on grief and loss; cybercrime, fraud and scams; and respite resources. In addition, a new age-friendly congregation certification course will be highlighted during an afternoon session. Onsite vendor displays, morning snacks, and lunch round out the day. There is no cost to attend. Register here.

New Strategic Partnership to Equip TWK Leaders in Ministry with Young People

The Ministry Leadership Center (MLC) and the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference (TWK) are pleased to announce the launch of a partnership in September aimed at strengthening children's and youth ministries across the region. The MLC will work alongside the Ministry Teams to provide strategic leadership, marketing support, and operational assistance for conference-wide initiatives. Read more about this exciting opportunity!

Reelfoot Rural Ministries

Get Ready for the 49th Christmas Toy Store at Reelfoot Rural Ministries!

Reelfoot Rural Ministries (RRM) is ready to begin receiving gifts for their annual Christmas Toy Store! In 2023, 300 families participated, and nearly 750 children received new gifts to brighten their Christmas morning.


In December, families will visit RRM to select new, unwrapped gifts for their children. Families apply in advance and are assigned a day and time to shop. Thanks to generous donations, each child receives at least three new gifts, with families contributing $5 per child as they are able.

Mama Lynn Center Needs Our Help | Message from Bishop Graves

The Mama Lynn Center again needs our help. As the war in the Congo rages on, more and more women and girls are finding refuge there. The Center needs funds to build more space to hold these women as well as to pay for windows, doors and furnishings for the most recently constructed structures. Read more
