The Next Creation Care Day | October 4 -- THIS SATURDAY!

Join us for Creation Care Day on Saturday, October 4, 2025, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Green Hill Farm (257 Taylor Road, Fulton, KY 42041). This special day is designed to nurture creation, community, and spirit. Activities include farm walks, a labyrinth, devotion, and shared time over coffee and lunch. Blessing of the Animals – A Community Celebration

Join Christ UMC, Mayfield First UMC and Mayfield First Presbyterian for a Blessing of the Animals on Saturday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m.–1 p.m. at Christ UMC’s Family Life Center. Families are invited to bring pets of all kinds—or even photos—for a special blessing from local pastors. The Mayfield-Graves County Animal Shelter will have pets available for adoption and discounted microchipping, and Petsense will provide pet care giveaways. Hot dogs will be served, too!

Celebrate Goshen’s 191st Homecoming + Worship Time Swap

This Sunday, October 5, worship times will be a little different for Kirksey and Goshen UMCs! Kirksey will gather for Worship at 9 a.m. with Sunday School following at 10 a.m. Goshen will celebrate 191 years of mission and ministry with a special Homecoming Service at 11 a.m. featuring students from the Murray State Wesley Foundation sharing both music and the message. A potluck meal will follow the service—celebrate with them!

Cabinet Corner: A Glimpse into the Work of the TWK Cabinet

Bishop David Graves and the TWK Cabinet team launched into the new conference year with a deep dive into living the discipleship priorities. Practicing what you preach is where all true change begins. Sanctification is a journey, and those moments of deep change hold both divine punctuation marks and slow, steady steps that lead us into the beloved community God calls us to be. So…what’s going on? Here are some tiny glimpses.

The Conference Youth Leadership Team is Back!

We invite high school-age youth across the TWK Conference to apply to be part of this team. The Conference Youth Leadership Team is a group of youth who plan conference-wide spiritual growth opportunities and events, like the upcoming United Retreat early next year. College Scholarship Funds Available | Deadline October 15

TWK Board of Higher Education and Campus Ministry, the Martin Methodist Foundation, and the United Methodist Foundation of the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference are pleased to announce that over $150,000 in scholarship funds are available to be awarded to college students in 2025 for the Spring 2026 semester. Applications will be accepted for the Martin Methodist Legacy and Walter Russell Lambuth scholarships until October 15, 2025. Read about how to apply.

Thriving Caregivers Workshop | Practical Pathways to Disability-Inclusive Ministry

Raising Kellan is a nonprofit organization, based in Dyersburg, TN, dedicated to empowering and educating families navigating life with disabilities. This fall, they're excited to host a special workshop designed especially for parents and caregivers of children or adults with disabilities.


The Thriving Caregivers workshop will be led by Todd and Kristin Evans, LMSW, parents and authors of "How to Build a Thriving Marriage as You Care for Your Children with Disabilities." Through their personal and professional experiences, they offer heartfelt guidance and practical tools for caregivers to thrive—not just survive.

Gym memberships and walking shoes, travel experiences and mental health therapy, gardening supplies and Sabbath retreats ... these are just a few of the things clergy across our TWK have been funding through our conference's Clergy Mini Well-Being Grants. All TWK clergy are encouraged to consider how they can continue to prioritize daily practices of well-being. Mama Lynn Center Needs Our Help by the End of October

This is a reminder that the Mama Lynn Center needs our help this fall. As the war in the Congo rages on, more and more women and girls are finding refuge there. The Center needs funds to build more space to hold these women as well as to pay for windows, doors, and furnishings for the most recently constructed structures. Register Now for Older Adult Ministry Event - October 9

Sponsored by ENCORE Ministry Foundation and UT Chattanooga's School of Nursing, Building Community with Older Adults will be in-person and online on October 9 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Franklin First UMC. Area experts will present topics on grief and loss; cybercrime, fraud and scams; and respite resources. In addition, a new age-friendly congregation certification course will be highlighted during an afternoon session. Onsite vendor displays, morning snacks, and lunch round out the day. There is no cost to attend. Register here.

Reelfoot Rural Ministries

Get Ready for the 49th Christmas Toy Store at Reelfoot Rural Ministries!

Reelfoot Rural Ministries (RRM) is ready to begin receiving gifts for their annual Christmas Toy Store! In 2023, 300 families participated, and nearly 750 children received new gifts to brighten their Christmas morning.


In December, families will visit RRM to select new, unwrapped gifts for their children. Families apply in advance and are assigned a day and time to shop. Thanks to generous donations, each child receives at least three new gifts, with families contributing $5 per child as they are able.
