Basic Lay Servant Course | March 28-29

Lay Servants serve the local Church or Charge in any way that their witness or leadership and service inspires the laity to deeper commitment to Christ and more effective discipleship. Choir Fest: March 2

Join us for the 2025 District-wide Choir Festival on March 2. Come and join us for some beautiful, uplifting music! Everyone is invited to attend! Each participating choir or ensemble is invited to present one or two anthems or songs of their own and there will be two combined anthems for all singers to present together. Table Talk Episode 17, Part 1 - This is My Story: Deen Thompson

Deen Thompson, an ordained elder in the Louisiana Conference, who for decades has served as lay leader at Edgehill UMC in Nashville after he was removed from ministry in 1985 because of his sexual orientation. Just Released: Report on the Experience of TWK Clergywomen

The TWK Commission on the Status and Role of Women (COSROW) and Cabinet collaborated to conduct a study of the experience of clergywomen across the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference. The study included a survey of clergywomen, focus groups, and the review of connectional data. Read more here.

Local Church Grant Cycle

The Foundation for Evangelism is pleased to announce the 2025 Equipping the Local Church grant cycle opened on January 15. Up to 50 grants of $5,000 or $10,000 are available to small and medium sized churches (250 or less), or clusters of churches working together, in a Wesleyan-tradition denomination. The Tom and Betty Cloyd Scholarship

The United Methodist Foundation for the Tennessee-Western Kentucky Conference is pleased to announce the Tom and Betty Cloyd Scholarship Fund is available. To qualify for this scholarship, an applicant must be a United Methodist of any age (for a minimum of one year), enrolled in or accepted by a recognized program of study, graduate or undergraduate in a college or university, and have financial need. Help for Those Experiencing Seasonal Mood Changes

As the winter months bring shorter days and colder weather, it's common to feel a shift in your mood. If you're struggling with seasonal changes or feeling isolated, remember you're not alone. The 988 Lifeline is a national hotline, available 24/7. It can also be called by anyone who is trying to help someone who is experiencing suicidal thoughts. Text or call 988 to reach a person 24/7 who is able to help you process what you're working through right now. Someone cares and you are not alone. Additional resources are available on the TWK website.
