And we just returned from Dominica where I had the chance to test out the new Aqualung FitFlex 2-piece wetsuit. To say I'm hooked is an understatement! As one who normally wears a 5mm in 82 degree water, the 3mm FitFlex proved to be both easy to put on and toasty warm in the 80 degree water we experienced. I've definitely found my new suit, and it's going to be tough to ever go back.

JOIN US FOR WOMEN'S DIVE DAY

While Women’s Dive Day traditionally brings divers together in the water, it’s also about building community and creating opportunities for women to connect. We're doing it with a twist this year, hosting the celebration at Topgolf, bringing together divers, friends, and families in a relaxed and energetic environment.

Whether you’re an experienced diver, just curious about the sport, or simply looking to support the incredible women in the diving world, this event offers the perfect setting to meet new people and share stories from beneath the waves.

A WORTHY CAUSE WITH PERSONAL ROOTS

If you've been around the store in the last decade, you may have seen our friend and bookkeeper, Marla, hustling around keeping us organized in the back of the house. Over this past year, she's been busier than ever with family as her granddaughter, Lucy, has been a patient of the Children's Hospital NICU, battling numerous health issues. This is our chance to help this great organization that has truly been a savior to one of our own.

Each year, the Children’s Hospital Colorado NICU team participates in the Courage Classic as Spinning Spokes for the Littlest Folks, riding more than 100 miles through the Colorado mountains to raise critical funds in support of patients and their families. This year, we ride in honor of Lucy Grace.

NEED TO REFRESH YOUR DIVE SKILLS?

POOL NIGHT ~ Once a month, we open our pool for divers to come in after hours and splash around if they've been diving within the last 2 years. This is a self guided review (there won't be an instructor on duty) but gives you a chance to set up your gear, blow bubbles, and keep things fresh between trips. $25 covers your pool time, one rental tank and any scuba equipment you may need. Sign up online as we have limited availability each night.

SCUBA REFRESHERS ~ If it’s been longer than 2 years since your last dive, then you’ll need a SCUBA REFRESHER. In this four hour class, instructors share practical tips from their personal experience of diving and jump in the water with you to make sure you are comfortable setting up your gear, controlling your buoyancy and review your emergency skills. The class is offered three times each month, and is often required by a resort if you haven't been diving in a year. If you have been out of the water for longer than 8 years, you will need to schedule this class privately.
