| | Perry Youth Advisory Council Completes Year-Long Term | | |
A great group of young leaders wrapped up their term last month with the Perry Youth Advisory Council.
At their final meeting, members had the opportunity to sit down with Mayor Randall Walker to share their ideas, reflect on their experiences, and discuss what they’ve learned through their involvement this year.
Throughout their year-long term, these students connected with City departments while sharing perspectives that help shape Perry’s future. One of their lasting contributions is the creation of a Youth Council Award, an idea they approved at their final meeting that will carry forward to recognize youth impact in our community.

Water Quality Report
The City of Perry’s 2025 Water Quality Report confirms that our drinking water meets all federal and state safety standards.
More than 15,000 tests were conducted last year to monitor quality, with results remaining within safe limits.
Residents can feel confident knowing Perry continues to deliver safe, reliable drinking water every day.

The City of Perry transitioned from Perry Points to Houston Alerts (Perry Alerts), a new and improved emergency and community notification system powered by Houston Alerts and Smart911.
This free service keeps you informed and connected during emergencies and important community updates through text, email, and voice messages.
All notifications are delivered through one reliable, easy-to-use platform.

Last month’s Annual Wine Tasting was a great success, helping support ongoing downtown beautification and promotions that continue to enhance the district.
Looking ahead, tickets are now available for Brunch & Bouquets on June 6, a new event that brings the community together in a fun and vibrant way. Be sure to also save the date for Dog Days of Summer on June 13, another exciting opportunity to enjoy downtown with your furry companions.

March 2026 Perry Fire & Emergency Services Stats
The City of Perry Fire & Emergency Services Department received a total of 332 calls during the month of March in 2026.
The Perry Fire Department is a 2-station department that contains a staff of firefighters providing fire protection, emergency medical services, technical rescue operations, fire safety education, fire cause investigation, and fire code inspections to a population of over 26,000 across 27.9 square miles.

Registration Now Open for the 2026 Junior Fire Academy
Registration is now open for the 2026 Junior Fire Academy!
Hosted by Perry Fire & Emergency Services, this 5-day camp gives participants a hands-on introduction to the world of firefighting and emergency response.
Throughout the week, participants will take part in a variety of engaging activities, including station tours, fire extinguisher training, CPR and first aid instruction, and mock search and rescue drills.
The program is designed to educate and inspire those interested in public safety while providing a fun and interactive experience.
