Wofford Fan Fest on Morgan Square

Wofford College's popular, annual Fan Fest returns to Morgan Square this Thursday, August 11th, 5pm-7pm. The FREE community event will offer fans the chance to meet fall 2022 student-athletes and coaches, with music, games, and giveaways for the first 50 fans. Wofford Football will host Elon for their first home game, September 10th.

Community Grants for Local Creatives

Did you know that the Chapman Cultural Center offers community grant funding up to $5,000 for local artists and non-profit organizations? The most recent two Q1 grant recipients, ceramicist Chuck Bishop and visual artist Ann Stoddard, utilized the funding to purchase a new studio kiln and to participate in an international exhibition and artists residency, (respectively.)

Piggly Wiggly: Job Fairs, Coming Soon!

The long-anticipated Piggly Wiggly on the City of Spartanburg's Southside (550 South Church St) is close to opening, and the grocery store will hold FOUR hiring fairs this week: August 9th at CC Woodson Community Center, and 11th at Dr. TK Gregg Community Center, with two fair times each day. Several roles are open, including managers, clerks, cashiers, decorators, and more.

Local teachers are hard at work prepping and stocking their classrooms for back-to-school, and Vic Bailey Subaru is partnering with Adopt a Classroom to help enrich students' learning experience through providing flexible funding to teachers! Throughout August, Subaru will match online donations dollar-for-dollar, as well as collect school supplies at the dealership; (specific supply requests.)

Join the Carolina Panthers for a FREE Training Camp practice at Wofford College TODAY. This year's camp includes 12 total practices and the return of the camp's traditional post-practice autographs with players and staff.

Health in Hand opened their doors in Tyger River today, at their second cafe location, (5854 Reidville Rd, Moore.) The juice and smoothie bar is open seven days a week, with an expanded seating and event area compared to the downtown cafe, (201A Wall St.)
