Guiding Principle of Diversity and Inclusion

The Buford City School System believes in creating and maintaining a safe, caring, and mutually respectful and inclusive environment where all students, staff, and families are valued for their diverse cultural heritages.
To the families of Buford City Schools,

Events taking place around our state and country have undoubtedly caused much unrest and uncertainty. Our primary concern right now is for every single child in our school district. These types of adversities can either divide or unite us. Let's take this opportunity to truly be "Buford United". Let's set an example for other communities.

We can be the change that we want to see in the world.

While the following information below is not meant to be a comprehensive list of resources, we wanted to share a few articles and book lists that may serve as a springboard for conversations with your children.

Respectfully,

Lacrecia Smith, EdD
