Support and Strength for Maui

The wildfires in Maui have brought devastation to the community and land, becoming the most deadly in U.S. history in more than a century.

UCSF Chancellor Sam Hawgood, MBBS, communicated in a message to the UCSF community, "In the Bay Area, we are all too familiar with the sense of loss and shock that accompany the devastation of wildfires, a growing threat exacerbated by climate change. In the days ahead, I encourage us to continue to look for ways to support the relief efforts under way and ease the suffering of the Hawaiian community."
