The annual UCSF Health Equity and Anti-Racism Research (HEAR) Symposium showcases research and action to advance health equity and anti-racism. The goal of the symposium is to build community among researchers across disciplines and across units, schools and campus sites and the wider Bay Area.


Thomas LaVeist, PhD, Dean of School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, Tulane University, will deliver the keynote address. His career has been dedicated to understanding the causes of inequity in health and its potential solutions.

UCSF Resource Centers Host Fall Welcome Brunch

UCSF Campus Advocacy Resources and Education (CARE) Program, Disability Resource Center, LGBT Resource Center, and Multicultural Resource Center host brunch to meet staff and learn offerings for the Fall quarter on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 11 AM - 2 PM, at Parnassus Campus.

Free Menstrual Products in UCSF Restrooms Address Period Equity

UCSF Facilities now offers menstrual products in UCSF restrooms in accordance with state Assembly Bill 367 which requires public schools, colleges, and higher education institutions to provide for free.

UCSF Medal: Nominations Open

The UCSF Medal, initiated in 1975, replaces the granting of honorary degrees and is UCSF's most prestigious university award. Recipients are exemplary individuals who have made outstanding contributions in areas associated with UCSF's mission and inspire us to push the boundaries of what’s possible. Nominations are open until Friday, October 13.
