The Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a Diversity in the Valley event on Wednesday, May 10th at the Germania Hall, Pembroke from 1 pm - 4 pm.

Diversity in the Valley offers FREE admission for both guests and presenters.

Browse the vendors, listen to a panel of subject matter experts, and learn how your business can create effective equity and diversity policies for your employees and clientele. Topics include service animals, special needs, socio-economic equity, cultural and racial diversity, mental health, gender, and sexual orientation, and much more.

The UOVCC relies on the generosity of the business community and partners to support through sponsorship and investment. If you are interested in either attending or sponsoring this Diversity in the Valley Expo here is some information;

• Exhibit sponsors will have their logo displayed at a booth or table for one of our guest presenters. $150
• The Career Corner sponsor will help match employers with job seekers at our in-person and online job connections. $500
• The Coffee Shop sponsor will provide beverages and light snacks (this can also be an in-kind contribution) $500

The Upper Ottawa Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting an 18-hole best ball Golf Tournament Monday, May 29th, at White Tail Golf Club in Eganville, to raise funds in support of our Class of ’23 Bursary program. This program will provide graduating high school students from this region cash rewards of $250 toward the purchase of educational materials for post-secondary studies.

As a membership-driven organization, the Chamber relies on the support of the business community to sponsor efforts such as these. With you, at this fun-filled event, they are certain to meet their fundraising goal to offer bursaries for every high school in the UOVCC catchment area and to continue to operate the chamber of commerce that supports its communities. A reminder that these efforts "Take a Village".

Registration starts at noon and dinner will be served at 6:00 pm. Not a golfer? That's ok! Dinner and dancing tickets are available too.
