OCCDL DIVERSITY STORIES
Continuing OCCDL Diversity Stories!

Several member firms and organizations within OCCDL put together short and valuable videos containing a few of their perspectives, experiences, plans, and ideas related to diversity, both in the legal community as a whole, and in Orange County specifically. This content highlights our member organizations, and can serve as a tool for other legal organizations to shape their own diversity ideals and initiatives!

Please enjoy our sixth OCCDL Diversity Story, courtesy of member firm Rutan & Tucker, LLP, featuring Partner and D&I Committee Co-Chair Ajit Thind, Partner Proud Usahacharoenporn, Senior Counsel Ashley Vaccaro (OCCDL’s very own Immediate Past President!), Associate Kelly Galligan, and a celebratory musical intermission by Partner and D&I Committee Co-Chair Alejandro Angulo, all of whom sit in Rutan’s OC office. Recognizing the significant benefits and value of a diverse work force, Rutan & Tucker is committed to increasing the diversity of its law firm in a manner that promotes the firm’s core values of excellence, teamwork, and integrity—supporting each attorney’s individuality and diverse style. As the largest full-service law firm based in Orange County, California, Rutan has played an active role in the County’s maturation into a world-class metropolitan area that reflects the richness of California’s cultural diversity. Rutan’s consistent efforts toward promoting D&I led to it being awarded the Diversity Scorecard from The American Lawyer in 2020 as a top firm for diversity, in addition to the many other honors and certifications it has received.
