Speaking from Discovery
A playshop for any body that loves to move

Do you drop in deep while you're dancing ...
only to find yourself getting "heady" or "going above the neck" once you start to speak?

Would you love to feel as authentically connected ...
to yourself and others when you're talking -- as you do when you move?

Have you ever started a sentence ....
and felt yourself disconnect?

If yes, come play!

The cash value of speaking inarguably is....  it stops arguments!

And beyond that?
It creates connection, fun and flow.

But how do you do it?

We'll dive into improvisational dance to get our juices flowing first.  No experience required.  Come play.

Then we'll use that opened energy and body intelligence to explore simple interactive tools that generate:

Hi!  I'm Aileen.
Hi!  I’m Aileen.

I’m a dancer, teacher, writer and lover of feeling alive.
  • I love play, especially physical play and expression with my body.

  • I love easy, and getting curious about how I choose hard, and how I can easily choose easy again.

  • I love clear communication and expressing in ways that match what I’m actually experiencing inside.
I’ve been learning for decades from yoga and dance. Then, three years ago, I took a big leap into something more: 100% responsibility for the results I create.  AND willingness for that to be fun and easy.  To play my way through, instead of working hard.

Wanna come take a big leap with me?

I grew up in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan (fun to say five times fast) in Canada, and I moved to Boulder in 2015 to be with my love.

I’ve been learning for decades from yoga and dance.  I’m a seeker with a strong shot of scientific thinking; I squirm when anyone gets too woo-woo, and I speak up or walk out when I judge someone’s straying into guru territory.  So I showed up ready to question when I first met Katie Hendricks in 2014.

And I questioned, and I opened, and I played.  That’s what got me.  Katie is all about play.  I knew I loved play – I just didn’t know I could play my way through even the hard stuff.  And make it easy.

Have you heard of Gay and Katie Hendricks?  They're the authors of Conscious LovingConscious Loving Ever AfterConscious Living and The Big Leap, and the directors of The Foundation for Conscious Living.

I stumbled on their website in November 2013 when I was miserable and searching, and I hopped on a plane two months later to start learning with them face-to-face.  I’m a grad now of their two-year Leadership and Transformation program, and my world has changed.

I’m a veteran of 12 (yep!) drama-filled relationships: I was determined to work hard to make it work, and I worked hard, and it didn't work.  Repeatedly!  Now, in relationship #13, I relax into my love's love in a way I couldn’t even imagine in my days of war.

We laugh, play, make faces and sounds, reveal our feelings and stories, feel our feelings all the way through, and commit and re-commit to seeing each other as whole. We sort our files and get out of each other’s business.  He’s growing in his creativity, and I’m growing in mine.  I’m committing and re-committing to enjoying my full capacity for love AND creativity.

Wanna get curious with me about your own creativity and capacity for love?
  • I’m a dancer, not a therapist.
  • I’m a communicator and “curious-er”, not a coach.
  • What I love is to play ...
... and what wants to emerge, emerges out of that!
