Thank You to VBS Volunteers, Participants, Parents
If you didn't have the opportunity to help with our Vacation Bible School last week, you missed out on an inspiring opportunity.

As a volunteer, it was interesting to watch a group of children who, one minute, seemed to be all over the place in terms of attention, and the next, they're reciting Isaiah 43.2 "When you walk through the river, I will be with you."  A t that moment I realized they are far more capable of "multi-tasking" all the information thrown at them on a daily basis, and they really are sponges who soaked up the VBS message of gaining Adventure, Acceptance, Joy, Rest and Peace on the river through Jesus Christ.

A very special thanks goes to Kily Gaskill, our director of children's ministries, who organized a great team of volunteers from Frankton First UMC and Madison Christian Church. Our music, bible stories, crafts, recreation and snack time were the best.

These children left VBS Friday night with Jesus in their hearts and music in their souls!
5th Sunday Service Project for July 29
July 29 will be another Fifth Sunday service opportunity for us at Frankton First UMC.

One project we will do involves #2 pencils to provide for our youth at the Frankton Jr/Sr High School.

We need regular #2 pencils donated (about 800). Then on July 29, we'll take the pencils, cut cards, punch holes in the cards, and tie a note to each pencil. This small gift will be ready to pass out to each student on the first day of class on August 9.

Here is what you can bring to church:
    • #2 pencils
    • Thin (1/4-in) ribbon
    • 2 to 3 one-hole paper punchers (just to use that day)
    • 2 to 3 electric pencil sharpeners (just to use that day)
Bring supplies to the church on Sunday or during regular office hours. We will gather July 29 to get our "back-to-school" gifts ready. Thank you!
If It's Tuesday, It's Faith & Fitness at The Factory
Faith & Fitness is a new ministry at Frankton First UMC. Join us on Tuesday evenings at 6 PM for faith, fellowship and fitness at The Factory.

We will have a short devotion at the beginning and then start the exercises.
Andrea Knotts leads a low impact chair exercise program after devotions. Hannah Knotts guides participants in a  medium to high impact workout called Revelation Wellness

Bring your hand weights, mats, and water! (We have a few weights and bands for some to use but not very many.)
24/7 Pantry Available in Frankton
We have another source of food available for those in need in the Frankton area. It is located on the high school grounds off Clyde Street. Pass the word. If you need food, please take something. If you want to donate items, put them in there.

The other community food pantry is operated out of the Frankton Christian Church's Family Life Center. It is open on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Help us spread the word about these two options that are available.
