Jan. 28 to Feb. 3, 2018

"So, when the apostles were with Jesus, they kept asking him, "Lord, has the time come for you to free Israel and restore our kingdom?"
He replied, "The Father alone has the authority to set those
dates and times, and they are not for you to know. 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere -
in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts. 1.6-8

New Bible Study Starts Feb. 21
We'll begin a new bible study starting Wednesday, February 21 at 7 p.m. It is based on the book  Shaped by God's Heart, the Passion and Practices of Missional Churches,  by Milfred Minatrea.

Join us at The Factory beginning Feb. 21 through March 28. The book looks at the tools needed to create "a new kind of church and move from merely surviving to thriving." It is based on a two-year field study of 200 churches from a variety of denominations and geographic regions. Minatrea presents the "best practices for re-energizing Christian spirituality in a congregational setting."

He offers tools for assessing a "maintenance" verses "missional" congregation and for determining the actions that will move a church toward becoming a missional community. Minatrea, who lives in Irving, TX, is Director of the Missional Church Center for the Baptist General Convention of Texas.
