Summer Meeting Changes at FFUMC
Verse 33 Youth
Verse 33 Jr. and Sr. High Youth will resume meeting this summer starting Thursday, July 5. Jr. High (6 to 8th grade) meets from 5 to 6 PM. Both groups have dinner from 6 to 6:30 PM; and the Sr. High meets from 6:30 to 8:30 PM. Contact Nick Smith with any questions at nicholasstanfordsmith@gmail.com

1st Service Praise Team Practice
The First Service Praise Team will practice on the first Wednesday of the month during the summer. 

2nd Service Praise Team Practice
The 2nd Service Factory Praise Team will practice on Wednesdays at 6:30 PM.

VBS Volunteer Kickoff Meeting and Lunch on June 24
We will kickoff our 2018 Vacation Bible School with a meeting and lunch for all who are interested in volunteering. It will be Sunday, June 24, at 12 PM (after the 2nd service) at The Factory.

A light lunch will be served and you will learn all about the theme, opportunities to serve, etc. This is our annual vacation bible school hosted with the Madison Christian Church. It will be held July 9-13 at The Factory.

Doug Anderson to Sing and Speak at 1st Service June 24 and Sing at The Factory Service
The Frankton First UMC will welcome Doug Anderson to the first service on Sunday, June 24, at 9 AM. Anderson is a founding member and baritone for the gospel quartet, Ernie Haase & SIgnature Sound. He will sing and present his personal testimony at the first service. Doug also will sing at the 11 AM Factory service.

Anderson was nominated for Male Vocalist of the Year in 2011 by the Gospel Music Association. Anderson released his first solo CD, Dreamin' Wide Awake, on Stow Town Records on May 3, 2011. The album has garnered three additional Dove Award nominations for 2012: Country Recorded Song of the Year for "Dreaming Wide Awake," Inspirational Song of the Year for "I'll Take What's Left," as well as Country Album of the Year.
24/7 Pantry Available in Frankton
We have another source of food available for those in need in the Frankton area. It is located on the high school grounds off of Clyde Street. Pass the word. If you need food, please take something. If you want to donate items, put them in there.

The other community food pantry is operated out of the Frankton Christian Church's Family Life Center. It is open on Tuesdays from 10 AM to 12 PM.

Help us spread the word about these two options that are available.

Eagle Packs Summer Feed School Program #nohungerfrankton
Eagle Packs has expanded their program! They have introduced a Summer Feed School Program  at Frankton High School. 

Every Monday and Thursday through through July 17th, they will offer a free lunch to children ages K-12. Adults accompanying a child may eat for $3. Students will be served first. Doors open at 11:30 AM and food is served until 12:30 PM. First Come First Serve!

Put VBS on Your Calendar for July 9-13!
Put July 9-13, 2018, on your calendar for our Vacation Bible School, Rolling River Rampage, at The Factory, located across the street from the church at 110 S. 8th St., Frankton. 

Our annual VBS is hosted with the Madison Christian Church. It will be held from 6 to 8:30 PM Monday through Friday at our community center, The Factory, 110 S. 8th St., Frankton.

Classes will be held for children ages 3 (Pre-K) through 6th grade. Registration is online (and now open). 

If you have any questions, or are interested in volunteering, contact Kily Gaskill, director of children ministries for FFUMC.

Elwood Summer Concerts in the Park 
Entertainment in Callaway Park, Elwood, is back this summer.  Concerts in the Park will begin on Sunday, June 10 at 4 PM. All concerts will be held at the Jim Knoop Band Shell located in Callaway Park (North 19th Street). The rain location is the cafeteria of the Elwood Community Jr/Sr High School located one block north of the park.

  • July 22: Marlin's Salute to Veterans (variety & patriotic)
