“Do You Know Your PDR Number?”
Questions and Answers about PDR
|
|
Thanks to Libby James, the PDR Administrator, and Michelle Pounds, the Professional Development Coordinator, for the following information about PDR.
The Arkansas Professional Development Registry (PDR) is a database that houses information about available professional development for early care and school-age professionals. PDR also maintains your training transcript.
But only if you have an active PDR number!
Why do I need a PDR number?
Your PDR number identifies you in the Registry so that the training you complete can be recorded on your training transcript. Memorize your PDR number or keep it where you can find it easily. You will need your PDR number when you attend workshops, conferences, and other trainings.
The facilitator or trainer uses this number to report your attendance.
How do I get my number?
Go to https://arkpdr.com and click on the Become a Member tab. After submitting the online application, you will receive an email from CCPortal, [email protected] with your number and a link to create a password.
What?! My number is invalid?
Did you create a password? If not, your account remains inactive. Go back to the CCPORTAL email and create a password to activate your account.
Call the Registry office if you are unable to find the email and we will resend it.
Where is the list of trainings I have taken?
Once the trainer enters your attendance, you will see it on your Training Transcript. To find your training transcript, go to the My Trainings tab and click the blue button that says Training Transcript. You can see and print your training certificates there, too. Trainers have 30 days from the training end date to enter attendance. If you don’t see the training on your transcript after 30 days, contact the trainer.
Why should I participate in professional development?
Professional development helps you to improve your skills, acquire new knowledge, and find solutions to situations you may be facing in your work as a teacher or administrator. Participating in professional learning experiences offers inspiration and support as you interact with the trainer and the other participants.
I don’t know where to start with my professional development.
Michelle Pounds is the Professional Development Coordinator and can help get you started. You can reach her at [email protected].
I still have questions.
Call or email us! We’re here to answer your questions. You can reach the Registry office at 888-429-1585 or 870- 972-3055. You can email us at [email protected]. We are open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
