Fall Students' GBOS Quotes

The BEST thing about Great Basin Outdoor School is:

We went on a boat on the lake, it is really cool and I made many friends, having the opportunity to learn about nature, the beach, food, and hikes, hiking with the teachers and friends, Lake Tahoe’s beautiful views, meeting new friends.
Help Build our Educator Team

Love kids and the outdoors? Or can you refer someone who is great with kids?

We're hiring. See naturalist position here & contact us.
Mule Deer
Everyone on our November Family Hike got to see this mule deer and many more. As winter and snow limit their food and mobility, mule deer migrate to lower ranges. These graceful herbivores are named for their large mule-like ears and inhabit western United States, Canada, and part of Mexico. Read more about them on the Nevada Department of Wildlife website and Animalia's.
Thanks for Sharing
Teach or volunteer with us. Refer an educator team member who is great with kids. Send a child. Support scholarships and fee reductions to include children in need. Sponsor T-shirts for kids with your logo on the backs. Donate outdoor gear or clothing to sell for us at Gear Hut. Shop with your Amazon Smile purchases supporting GBOS. Buy or sell our custom Tahoe Area Plants & Animals field guides. Help with our day camp wish list. Check our website for links and info.

Consider multiplying your impact with monthly giving, one of the options on our giving page.

(Please contact us directly if the link to our giving page takes you to "page not found", a frustrating issue that happens occasionally that we have not yet solved.)
Thanks for finding a way to help that works for you.
