β€œEver since I can remember, music has been a fundamental part of my life in school,” he said. β€œEven in elementary school, when music would rotate as a weekly β€˜special,’ it was always the thing I looked forward to the most.”

-Finn McGuire, PCHS Class of 2026

From playing four to five instruments in a week to conducting the pit orchestra and designing for school productions, PCHS senior Finn McGuire's journey shows what’s possible when students have access to the arts.

Supported by PCEF, programs like music and theater give students the opportunity to explore and develop their interests, try new things and find what they love.

When you register for or donate to Running with Ed, you help ensure music and theater enrichment is accessible to every Park City student through PCEF support.

🎨 From Seed Funding to Sustainability: Elementary Visual Arts (EVA) Evolves πŸ–ΌοΈ

β€œIt’s so gratifying to see the district recognize how important this is to our students."

-Jen Billow, PCEF VP of Advancement

For 13 years, art in Park City’s elementary schools was built, funded and sustained by PCEF through the Elementary Visual Arts (EVA) program in collaboration with a key local expert art partner, the Kimball Art Center (KAC). When EVA launched in 2012, it filled a gap. Across Utah, art funding had been cut in the 1980s.

Now it's evolving to something more. Beginning next school year, the district will fund four full-time, licensed elementary art teachers. Lessons across all of the elementary schools will be aligned so that every student in grades K-5 will have access to high-quality, equitable art education.

Transformative initiatives like EVA are made possible thanks to generous donors. When you register for or donate to Running with Ed, you deepen PCEF's impact on Park City's students.
