Small Business Saturday- THANK YOU!
Thanks and gratitude to everyone who came out on Small Business Saturday to shop local, and to all of those who tuned in to our live Facebook give-away. A special thanks to all the businesses that participated this year in the Chamber’s Small Business Saturday marketing campaign as well as those businesses who generously donated gift cards for the event! We couldn't have done it without you.

Once again, the Chamber Board of Directors, Hutchinson Ambassadors and the thinkLOCAL Committee donned their red scarves and masqueraded as the “Red Clad Elves.” Hats (or scarves) off to them and the excellent work they do! What did they do? They were out and about in Hutchinson surprising shoppers with gift cards to pay for their purchases. Also new this year was an online give-away! Great participation & community involvement!

In collaboration with the Hutchinson Area Community Foundation, the Hutchinson Chamber was able to gift OVER $4,000.00!!! What a wonderful feeling to watch these shoppers glow, cry and experience pure excitement during these times!

If you were one of the lucky ones, please remember to post a picture to the Hutchinson Chamber Facebook page.

Business of the Month
The Max family moved to Hutchinson in 1994 and immediately fell in love with the community. They knew it was a great community to raise a family and call home. When Ameriprise first came to Hutchinson, it managed about 8 million dollars in assets. Since then, they have grown and now manage over 225 million! The staff has grown to include another advisor/Certified Financial Planner and 3 support staff. They believe this growth can be attributed to providing exceptional client service and personal advice.
Marc Max and team independently own and operate as a franchise with Ameriprise Financial, specializing in financial planning and investment management. Their business focuses on retirement planning, tax planning and estate planning.
Ameriprise credits much of its success to the support and giving of the Hutchinson community. Therefore, have been happy to give back by participating and serving in various ways. Marc stated "Between my wife, Michele, and I we’ve been active in Rotary, served on Church Committees, youth sports, school bond referendums, The Hutchinson Community Foundation, the Hutchinson Health Foundation and The ISD 423 Foundation.  We can’t emphasize enough how important it is to give back to your community with time and monetary support whenever possible."
