June 2025

Hello Jodi,

Do you have at least three families in your church? Watch this insightful session from Dr. Erik Carter at Baylor University to find out why it's important for churches of every size to be intentional about serving kids and families impacted by disability.

While summer is upon us, we’re still reflecting with gratitude on our time together at the Disability and the Church Conference (DATC2025), held April 29–May 1, and moving forward with new ministries and initiatives that the Holy Sprit inspired. Thanks in part to our faithful donors who help fund our conference grants, 17 Wesleyans were able to attend and engage deeply in this transformative experience together.

If you weren’t able to attend—or would like to revisit the impactful content—we’re excited to share all the DATC2025 Main Stage recordings. These sessions are a great way to pick up tools and ideas to apply to your own ministry context.

And, here's what you can expect when you join us in person at DATC2026:

  • Equipping for accessibility – Gaining theological insights, practical tips and tools to help make our churches more welcoming and inclusive for individuals and families impacted by disabilities.
  • Rich fellowship and collaboration – Sharing stories, laughter, encouragement and building friendships while dreaming about and planning what God has next.

Together, let’s keep the momentum going toward greater intentionality and support for those with disabilities in our churches!

With gratitude,

Jodi
