Murphy Park in Dubuque

Our 25th anniversary of Strut Your Mutt is tomorrow! Come join us for a fun filled day for all ages and and all breeds.  The goal is to bring community members and pet owners together to raise awareness and funds for the homeless animals at the Dubuque Regional Humane Society (DRHS).   If your family has fur babies come Strut Your Mutt and help support the pups that have yet to find their homes; however, you don't have to have a mutt to strut with us.

Come walk for the animals at the DRHS on our 25th anniversary of Strut Your Mutt! After the walk, there will be several local businesses to visit, we will also host dog training demonstrations, a radar run for testing speed and a small agility course to take your pets through.

Out and About

Warmer weather means more trips to the park, longer walks and more chances for your pet to wander off! Make sure your dog or cat has a microchip for identification and wears a tag imprinted with your home address, cell phone and any other relevant contact information.

Kids & Critter Camp
Kids entering 2nd-6th grade in the fall of 2018 can spend their summer afternoons learning all about animals and participating in a wide variety of demonstrations from local experts. Campers learn about animal care, bite safety and pet responsibilities. As a bonus of our camps, the campers get to spend a lot of hands-on time learning with the animals in our shelter.

Vet Camp
Vet Camp is designed for kids going into or are in middle school who are interested in animal science or veterinary medicine. The campers will get a preview into the real and vast fields of veterinary medicine. Your camper will gain personal experience about what it takes to become a veterinarian or veterinary technician through this fun filled, innovative camp.
