Happy February!

The newsletter has a new look and I hope it simplifies what you are looking for from Documented Faith.
If this is your first week, your first week back or your 144th week, welcome! If you are brand new to Documented Faith, I encourage you to take a minute to read what it is all about here

I wrote this a few days ago and posted on the DF Facebook Group and think it's worth repeating:

I was feeling a little "disoriented" without a specific "WORD" to focus on and for a brief moment I considered changing things when it dawned on me of my own purpose for doing this whole thing...it's not about the word, it is about the WORD, duh.

So let's talk for a minute about this past weeks promise:
"God promises all things will work out for good for His children"
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28 NIV

I say whew, thank you and amen...BUT (there's that big BUT again!) while we are learning/know that God works in all things, we NEED to remember and have constant reminders that it does not mean that all that happens are or will be good.

Evil is so prevalent and in our face in our fallen and broken world but God is able to turn every circumstance around for good. God is NOT working to make us happy but to fulfill HIS purpose.

Hang onto that!

Please remember that the verses as well as a link to my blog and a link to all of the Documented Faith Products are located at www.documentedfaith.com

Hang onto the promises!
With Love,
Stephanie Ackerman
The heart behind Documented Faith 2018’s theme is “Yes & Amen"
"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are "Yes" in Christ. And so through him the "Amen" is spoken by us to the glory of God."
  2 Corinthians 1:20

Week 6   2/4- 2/10
God promises to finish the work He started in us.
He started the work in us, and He will be sure to complete it.

“.. being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 1:6 NIV

NIV NOTES: God will help us grow in grace until He has completed his work in our life. When you are discouraged, remember that God will not give up on you. He has promised to finish the work he started. When you feel incomplete or distressed by your shortcomings, remember God’s promise.

Documented Faith Mixed Media Monthly began January 1st but it is never too late to start and the $52.00 registration price has been extended.

Q: What is Documented Faith Mixed Media Monthly.
A: The Mixed Media Monthly concept is a way to "step it up a notch" and is something more than just reading a verse in your weekly email. I see it as a collaboration of sorts and an example of what happens when art & faith collide. All of the art, ideas and verses for each month will be provided via and YOU put it into action by downloading, printing, cutting, gluing and creating...OR simply downloading, printing, trimming and sharing.

To read about this and get the $52.00 price for THE ENTIRE YEAR ( that's 1.00 a week people!) go here: Documented Faith Mixed Media Monthly

The Core Purpose of Documented Faith
It is not about religion. It is about a personal relationship with Jesus. It is about developing the habit of spending time reflecting, reading, worshiping, learning and memorizing God’s word in a creative way. Documented Faith was created to remind, encourage and inspire each other to record, illustrate, document and journal our everyday moments, how God is working in us and through us, what Bible verses speak to us and how they apply to our situations, reminders and inspirational quotes and most importantly, how our relationship with Jesus and with others is growing.*There is no start date, no finish date, no right way or wrong way to do it...just the gentle, persistent encouragement in the way of an email with a verse that lands in your inbox once a week.

The Nicene Creed
We believe in one God,the Father, the Almighty maker of heaven and earth,of all that is, seen and unseen. We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God, eternally begotten of the Father,God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, of one Being with the Father. Through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven:by the power of the Holy Spirit he became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate; he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose again in accordance with the Scriptures; he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end. We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of Life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son. With the Father and the Son he is worshipped and glorified. He has spoken through the Prophets.
We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.
We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.

*The reference to "the holy catholic Church" in both the Nicene and Apostle's Creeds refers
to the universal church, not the denomination.
