GuideStar is the world's largest source of information on nonprofit organizations. Platinum, the highest level of transparency, has been achieved by our Dog Park. Of the 1.5 million non-profit organizations on GuideStar, the Platinum status is a distinction shared with only 11,710 others who have reached this top level. MORE
Bufo Toads

These toads are considered to be poisonous to dogs! Bufo toads are very large in size, often reaching 8 or 9 inches when mature. Mouthing or holding the toad in the mouth can result in poisoning and death if untreated.

Notice how their front feet turn in. Small frogs you may see around your house that cling to walls, windows, etc. are tree frogs and are not dangerous to pets.

If you suspect your pet mouthed, licked or ingested a toad, rinse the mouth out immediately and call your veterinarian or Pet Poison Helpline (855) 764-7661 for immediate life-saving advice.
