Support Our Art Program

Our Art Teachers have an Amazon Wishlist for books that will be used to support art instruction during art classes. Though they are not checked out of the art rooms for students to take home, Ms. Luyendyk and Ms. Drury both have reading areas in their rooms available to early finishers. They also utilize the books as an option on Freedraw Days, which are a reward for great classes and students at the end of the quarter.

Please visit this link and select an item for the art rooms: http://a.co/h0bPn3I

Our wonderful Art Teachers need help preparing for our annual Fine Arts Night! They need help filling out forms for each student and preparing the artwork for display. It is just an hour and ANY help is appreciated!! Thank you!

Health Room Volunteers Needed

The Nurse's Office is staying busy! We can help ease the traffic by  volunteering in the  Health  Room to provide assistance with simple needs such as band-aids, temperature checks, and/or a phone call to a parent. This helps Nurse Maddie to be more available to students that require a skilled nurse.

Shifts run from 11:00 am - 2:00 pm, but we are happy to have your help even if for a shorter time frame (just leave a comment when you sign up). Please consider signing up for a shift and let's try to get the  Health  Room staffed through the end of the year! Thank you for supporting Dogwood!

Shout Outs
Shout Outs

Thank you to our entire Dogwood community for coming out and supporting DolphinFest!

We cannot put into word how much we appreciate all of the work put into DolphinFest by all our volunteers.  Shout out to  Tiffany Smith, Maura Parks, Nabiha Huda, Carie Alley, Chelsea Slabaugh, Carmen Henson, Alison Fondaw, Amy Carter, Katie Graffam, Tina Thorne, Karen Viotti, Carmen Weaver, Rachel Twiford, Jennifer Brown, Michele Megson, Christy Christopher, Jennifer Bronson,  Denise Stumph, Kari Armstrong Leanne Howell, Natalie Stickles, Lisa Garten, Hayley White,  Holly Kulp, Susan Miller, Jamie Bialowitz, Shahnila Raza, Paula Bailey, Cory Carter, Adam Parks, and everyone who volunteered at DolphinFest.

Our volunteers spent hours organizing the online auction, planning every detail of the event, creating the games, organizing the concessions, counting tickets, buying prizes, soliciting donations, posting on social media, creating communications, setting up for DolphinFest, working the games, and cleaning up for the event.  It takes the entire Dogwood village to make DolphinFest happen!

Our Dogwood staff is truly amazing.  They come out and support the PTO at every event.  We could not do anything without the support of Mrs. Price, Mrs. Phipps, and Dr. Fisher.  Mr. Paul Phillips is the first to arrive and the last to leave, and he is always happy to unlock doors and find exactly what is needed.  Thank you to the teachers who volunteered at DolphinFest selling tickets and working the games.  We absolutely loved seeing our teachers sing Karaoke on the Dogwood stage.

Marlena Light and Ashley Smith are IT rockstars!  These ladies made Karaoke, the Dance Party, and the Auction happen. We could not have had such a successful auction without their help!

The Dogwood community is the best!! There are so many people who serve our students, teachers, and families so well that we would like to recognize them more publicly throughout the year. If you have a shout out for a student, teacher, parent, or administrator any time throughout the year, please email it to  elizgates@gmail.com.
