Boosterthon

Our FunRun fundraising is underway! Students have a WEEKEND CHALLENGE! If a student receives a total of $2 per lap in new pledges (or $60 in flat donations) over the weekend, they'll receive a special #Boosterthon prize! Enter those pledges at   funrun.com  to qualify.

Plans for the new playground are already in the works!  The new playground will be built on the Dogwood campus' front playground. Please help get those pledges so the students can have a new playground this year.

Volunteers Needed! The fun run will be held on Friday, September 7th. To make this event run smoothly, e ach class will need one parent volunteer to count the laps and mark participants' t-shirts, plus an additional four parent volunteers per grade to help with water and organization.  If weather permits, the fun run will take place outside on the Dogwood playground.

Please use this link to sign up to volunteer!

Please note:  The PTO will not hold the Family Donation Drive this fall.  Boosterthon is the only fundraiser for the school this semester.
Van's Plan

A new car line procedure has been implemented thanks to a super smart Dogwood student and his mom!

The car line will be held at the corner of Howell Circle and Dogwood Rd. until 8:25 am. This will free up the in and out for our students who are safety patrols and have other morning commitments to access the driveway without causing traffic confusion!
A Message from our Counselors

During the month of September, students will learn about the concept of bullying. Information regarding the definition, types of bullying, and how to respond to bullying situations will be discussed. All students are encouraged to be an up-stander and choose to be nice.

Additional information regarding bullying can be found on the following sites:

As we celebrate Bully Prevention Month in October, more information will be shared.

If you have any further concerns, please contact school counselors, Brandi Fitchpatric or Nikole Hamlett 752-7946.

Attention DADs!

Any Dogwood father or father-figure interested in joining the Dogwood DADs group and volunteering at the school, please contact Ryan Strain.  rstrain@bakerdonelson.com

Volunteer to help in our Health Room

We need daily help from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. staffing the health room (located in the bookstore). You can sign up for one or multiple days. You can also volunteer for a shorter time frame.

You will be dealing with minor issues like band-aids and ice packs. No medical experience necessary!

This is a huge service to our school and allows more time for our school nurse to attend to more urgent issues.

Library News

Volunteers are needed on Mondays and Wednesdays in the library. If you have an hour to give, please use this link to sign up!

You may choose as many days as you would like. Thanks so much for participating!
