Walk or Bike to School Day will:
- Bring awareness to sidewalk and car line safety as our kids travel to school
- Promote that "active kids are healthier kids"
- Help the environment by walking instead of driving

Join Mrs. Price as she leads participating students and parents on a fun walk to the school. For this event, meet by 8:15 AM at the corner of Dogwood Road and Brachton Avenue. We will will be leaving for the school promptly at 8:20 AM. Parents' participation is encouraged but not required. Please be respectful of
neighbors if you park down our neighborhood streets. Other meeting spots will be planned for future events.

Library Volunteer Orientation
If you are interested in volunteering in the library this school year, we are hosting an orientation/training on Friday, October 4th at 10:45 am in the library.

Haunted Houston will be held
OCTOBER 25 AND 26 FROM 6-9 PM at Houston Middle School.
Purchase tickets online before October 24 to receive a $5 discount.
Tickets purchased online can be picked up at the Will Call Table at the door.

Yearbook Cover Contest
The Yearbook Cover Contest has begun! This year's Yearbook theme is "Travel the World". Any Dogwood student can hand-draw a picture for the cover of the yearbook. The deadline is Friday, October 11th, and all submissions should be turned in to Mrs. Mink in Classroom 31 on the green hall.
All submissions should include "Dogwood Elementary 2019-2020". Please submit designs with your name and homeroom teacher written on the back.

Choose to Be NICE
