Announcing the 2024 Distinguished Service Awards Honorees and Winners

This year’s Distinguished Service Awards (DSA), held at the Army Navy Country Club, was centered on celebrating and fostering veteran innovation and business impact within our Region. The event was a powerful tribute to the ongoing contributions of veterans, as they continue to drive progress in our community.

The Honorable James D. Rodriguez, Assistant Secretary for Veterans’ Employment and Training Service at the U.S. Department of Labor, delivered an extraordinary keynote address. Rodriguez underscored the vital role of military service and its enduring significance in everyday life, reminding us of the profound sacrifices made by veterans and their ongoing contributions.

Andrea Inserra, Executive Vice President at Booz Allen Hamilton, was named Veteran Advocate of the Year. Inserra’s speech highlighted her unwavering dedication to supporting and advancing the interests of veterans, showcasing her profound respect for their service and commitment to their welfare.

The Veteran Employee Resource Group of the Year, RTXVETS, received accolades for its exceptional support and advocacy. RTXVETS extended their congratulations to all finalists and winners, further emphasizing the collaborative spirit and collective achievements within the veteran community.

Concluding the ceremony, Thomas Donohue, former President & CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. His son presented the award, reflecting on Donohue’s influential leadership and his lasting impact on the business world. This recognition celebrated a career dedicated to enhancing leadership and fostering business growth through veteran-driven perspectives.

The 2024 DSAs were a testament to the transformative power of veterans in shaping our Region’s future. Their leadership, advocacy, and innovation continue to inspire and drive positive change, reinforcing the value of their contributions in every sphere of our community.
