A team from George Mason University, led by Assistant Professor Yun Yu, has identified technology to enhance artificial photosynthesis, following the approval of a grant proposal by 4-VA. Collaborating with graduate and undergraduate students, they discovered furfural reduction—crucial for sustainable biofuel generation—and highlighted the differing activities of copper and graphite supports in the process.
