It will be a time to connect and celebrate at next week's Annual Members' Meeting

The Chamber is in the final week of preparation for our Annual Members' Meeting, held next Tuesday, June 6th, at the Westwood Country Club. Known as, "the best networking in the Region before 10AM," the Annual Members' Meeting will be a who's who event featuring our Region's most elite leadership.


In addition to building connections, the Annual Members' Meeting is a chance to celebrate our impressive Lifetime Achievement Award and Impact Award Honorees whose efforts have benefited our business community, induct our 2023-2024 Board of Directors Chairman, Deb Gandy, Chevy Chase Trust, and our 2023-2024 Board of Directors, and recognize our NOVA Chamber Honors Class of 2023.

Governor Glenn Youngkin Announces Landmark Change in State Agency Hiring Practices

The Chamber applauds Governor Glenn Youngkin’s decision to change how state agencies will recruit and compete for talent by eliminating degree requirements, preferences, or both for almost 90% of state-classified positions. This landmark change will allow the Commonwealth to expand opportunities for Virginians and give equal consideration to all qualified job applicants. We congratulate the Governor’s leadership by implementing this important step to gather all talent to the workforce.

2023 Greater Washington Government Contracting Awards - Application

Founded in 2002 in the shadow of 9/11, the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards have honored an industry that is vital to our society and its citizens for two decades. The Greater Washington Government Contractor Award is the premier event honoring the leadership, innovation, and commitment to excellence of the people and businesses in the region’s government contracting community.


Presented by the Chamber and the Professional Services Council (PSC), the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards winners are announced at an evening gala. This unique networking event draws more than 1,000 industry and government leaders.


The Greater Washington GovCon Awards will be held on November 1st at the Ritz-Carlton, Tysons Corner.

Greater Washington Apprentice Network

June 6th | 2-3PM | Virtual, Free

SPEAKER: Mike Batt, Vice President, Talent, Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, will be sharing employer resources available through the Fairfax County EDA, including talent recruiting tools and the Work In Northern Virginia website.


The Greater Washington Apprentice Network (GWAN) brings together employers, academic institutions, public and private sectors. Employers gain access to best practices from organizational peers, sources of prospective apprentice candidates, support services, academic institutions, and training resources. The GWAN meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month for an Employer Briefing.

With the rapid acceleration of artificial intelligence, machine learning, quantum computing and more, the demand for digital transformation continues to rise, driving the question, "how can modern businesses convert technology's promises into profits?"


Our next C-Suite Roundtable will be held over lunch on June 8th at Ruth's Chris Steak House and will focus on how great leaders are navigating today's digital transformation. Our keynote speaker will be Eric Lamarre, Head of North America for McKinsey’s Digital practice, whose team has analyzed 200+ digital transformations over the past five years, resulting in an open-source, detailed playbook for success. Eric has applied this expertise to his cutting-edge new business book, Rewired.

NOVA DEI Connects welcomes all members interested in advancing their knowledge and understanding of successful DEI strategies to join us and each other in this opportunity. Distinguished Service Awards - Application

Unique within our business community, military veterans have innovated and created more enduring, impactful businesses than any other industry in America. In recognition of their sacrifices and ongoing contributions critical to our community's strength and stability, the Chamber hosts the Distinguished Service Awards, the Greater Washington Region's preeminent event honoring the leadership and contributions to veteran success demonstrated by veteran-owned businesses within the Greater Washington business community. Along with an elite keynote speaker, DSA winners are showcased at a powerful morning ceremony that draws a who's who of military and veteran business leaders.


The Distinguished Service Awards will be held on September 12th from 8:30-10:30AM at the Army Navy Country Club, Arlington.
