WORKFORCE & DEI UPDATE

Your response will help cultivate a more diverse Greater Washington workforce

The deadline for this year's Greater Washington Champions for Accountability research survey is almost upon us: next Tuesday, August 1st. We asked Stephanie Turner, Chamber DEI Board of Advisors Co-Chairman and Vice President, Inclusion, Diversity & Social Innovation, MITRE, why participating in this research is critical to our Greater Washington Region's workforce:

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) is a participative sport; you need to be seen and heard to be counted and recognized. The Greater Washington area is a prime Region for businesses to thrive due to our rich diversity of people, skills, and industries. We can all be more intentional, authentic, and strategic in attracting, developing, and retaining exceptional diverse talent.

I am a proud inaugural member of the Chamber's Chief Diversity Task Force that helped launch our regional DEI initiative, the Greater Washington Champions for Accountability, in 2022. If you are an active participant in cultivating inclusive work environments in all its dimensions of diversity, then I ask you to join me in being seen, heard, and recognized.

Please complete the survey by August 1st and add your data to this valuable research. Together we can ensure that everyone's voice is heard.

Take the 2023 Survey by August 1st

Champions for Accountability is a collaborative effort between the Chamber, The Community Foundation for Northern Virginia, and the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce Foundation. To learn more about the Champions for Accountability research, see a list of current Champions, and find details on earning your company's Champions badge, visit here.
