Regional Leaders Unite to Tackle Cyber Workforce Challenges with Government Insights

On September 24th, Regional leaders joined NVC for our cyber security workforce workshop. These exclusive meetings address workforce development issues in cyber security, facilitated by Dr. Liza Wilson Durant, Professor and Associate Provost for Strategic Initiatives and Community Engagement at George Mason University, and Dr. Jerry McGinn, Executive Director of the Center for Government Contracting at George Mason University. NVC welcomed special guest speakers, Dr. Ryan Donaghy, Acting Deputy Assistant Director at the Cybersecurity & Infrastructure Agency (CISA), and Mr. Mark Gorak, Principal Director for Resources & Analysis for the Department of Defense, Office of the Chief Information Officer (DoD CIO). Locating talent in this highly complex field needs to be addressed for our Region to grow.
