There's nothing quite like the experience of establishing new and stronger connections with one's peers. Networking provides an invaluable and lasting business advantage, particularly at the highest leadership levels and in environments where experts help guide conversations. As the leading business organization in the Greater Washington Region, the Chamber takes pride in consistently providing our members with ongoing opportunities for quality networking and peer-to-peer engagement.
Through thoughtfully crafted programs and signature events, we ensure our members have monthly, often weekly, opportunities to engage and connect. Below are a few of the Chamber's ongoing member engagement programs that, with few exceptions, are available to any employee within a member's organization. We encourage you to participate and meet your fellow members through:
C-Suite Roundtables. The Chamber's C-Suite Roundtables are lunch-based networking events reserved for our members' highest leadership. While we provide a topic-focused expert to provide context and spark discussion amongst the group, each Roundtable has been primarily developed to foster peer-to-peer member connections. Our attendee list is by invitation to ensure only senior leadership attends. Our next C-Suite Roundtable will be February 27th; see details below.
Member Advocacy Connector: Held every Friday morning during the Virginia General Assembly and periodically throughout the year thereafter, our Member Advocacy Connector Teams meetings are designed to inform members about the happenings within our Region's legislative world. All participants are visible, and members who join this call are encouraged to ask questions and join discussions. Our next Member Advocacy Connector will be held this Friday at 8:30AM. Learn more here.
Greater Washington Apprenticeship Network (GWAN): The Greater Washington Apprentice Network's meetings are monthly, expert-led discussions focused on helping employers in the Region explore and develop an apprentice-based model of recruitment and training. GWAN's virtual meetings are offered at no charge to any who wish to participate. Our next GWAN meeting will be held today; see details below.
DEI Connects: Similar in structure to the Chamber's GWAN program, DEI Connects is an inclusive and collaborative community of members who seek to share, learn, and implement best practices in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. This monthly, expert-led discussion is open to all Chamber members at no charge. Our next virtual DEI Connects meeting will be held on February 20th; see details below.
Young Professionals MeetUp: Held quarterly, our Young Professionals MeetUps are peer-to-peer social events intended for our Region's next-generation leaders. Structured to encourage connection-building, these events are held in the early evening, with light refreshments provided. All Young Professional MeetUps are open to any interested member organization's employees. Our next MeetUp will be held on February 29th; see details below.
Speed Networking: The Chamber's Speed Networking events are 100% focused on building connections between our members. Held in person at the Chamber's office every other month, these fun and faster-paced events have become popular favorites within our membership. Our next Speed Networking event will be held on February 20th, at no charge. See Details below.
