Held Wednesday morning at George Mason University’s Mason Square, this powerhouse event brought together top economic and business minds to break down critical trends shaping 2025. Inflation, monetary policy, and market shifts took center stage as industry leaders shared strategies for turning challenges into opportunities.

On February 25, Hope For The Warriors announces they have appointed military veterans Tom Brennan, Greg Bowman, and Patrick Hogenbirk to their leadership team. Brennan and Bowman join the Board of Directors, and Hogenbirk joins the Board Council. These new additions bring valuable leadership to the organization.

George Mason University honored a record-breaking 78 Peter N. Stearns Provost Scholar Athletes for their academic achievements in its 17th year of the award. To qualify, student-athletes must have earned at least 38 credit hours and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher. Marvin Lewis, Assistant Vice President and Director of Intercollegiate Athletics, congratulated this year’s recipients at the ceremony.

Forty-three years ago today, NVC took decisive action to support businesses during a period of national economic stagnation. Under President Florence E. Townsend, the Chamber advocated for growth-focused policies to revitalize Fairfax’s economy. A key moment came in March 1981, when NVC leaders met with the Board of Directors to push for initiatives that would foster a more business-friendly environment—laying the groundwork for the region’s continued economic expansion.
