The Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce continued its 30-year tradition last week in hosting a debate between the major party candidates for Governor of Virginia. It was a great event – and great television! We appreciate our partners who helped make the debate happen: NBC4 and Telemundo 44, Capital One, the Schar School of Policy and Government at George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College. If you missed it, you can view a recording at NBC4.com.

Our Top of the Ticket debate is an important forum for civil discourse on the issues of importance to the business community and to the public. The debate allowed us to hear directly from Terry McAuliffe and Glenn Youngkin on where they stand on key Chamber priorities – including maintaining Virginia’s Right to Work laws, building an open... 
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
Last November, Virginia residents voted to amend the Commonwealth’s Constitution to authorize the establishment of the Virginia Redistricting Commission. The Commission was established for the sole purpose of developing maps for Virginia’s state legislative districts and districts for the U.S. House of Representatives. The Commission has been meeting over the past weeks and is approaching its deadline for submitting new maps to the General Assembly. More information, including ways you can participate, can be found on the Commission’s website.
