Weigh in on Fairfax sign regulations
Have an outdoor sign at your Fairfax County-based business? Want to weigh in on how the county regulates signs? Join county staff to learn about the regulations and enforcement of complaints, and to provide ideas for the county’s review of these regulations. Virtual community information sessions are scheduled for Tuesday, January 18th at 12PM and Thursday, January 28th at 7PM. More information about the upcoming sign meetings is included on the Sign Regulations Phase II webpage. The Chamber launches Advancing Civics in partnership with the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership
The Chamber and the Sorensen Institute for Political Leadership at the University of Virginia’s Weldon Cooper Center for Public Service have come together to form a first-of-its-kind partnership designed to encourage greater collaboration among Virginia’s current and future business, government and civic leaders. This partnership, called Advancing Civics, seeks to bring business, government and civic leaders together through civil, solutions-oriented collaboration. We.will host events and recognize Virginia leaders who exemplify the kind of civic-minded collaboration the partnership intends to promote.

Join Chamber members in Richmond this year at Viva Virginia! Our annual legislative reception is back on after a COVID-induced hiatus last year. Each year, Viva Virginia is one of the premier mid-Session receptions that lawmakers and business leaders alike make sure they attend. This year we are co-hosting the event with the Arlington Chamber and Alexandria Chamber. Back in 2020, we had the Lieutenant Governor, Speaker of the House, Chair of Senate Finance, and many other members of our Northern Virginia delegation join the reception.
The Greater Washington Apprentice Network February Employer Briefing

The Greater Washington Apprentice Network (GWAN) brings together employers, academic institutions, public and private sectors. Employers gain access to best practices from organizational peers, sources of prospective apprentice candidates, support services, academic institutions, and training resources. The GWAN meets on the first Tuesday of each month for an Employer Briefing.
