NOVA Leads: Leadership Enrichment and Development Series
As part of our ongoing commitment to the Northern Virginia workforce and business community, the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Northern Virginia Community College to create NOVA Leads, a leadership enrichment and development program tailor-made for next-generation leaders and rising-star employees.

The program's curriculum will be delivered over the course of 8 monthly sessions that will each delve into important business topics ranging from adaptive leadership to managing change and conflict to human resource laws.
 
NOVA Leads is available exclusively to members of the Northern Virginia Chamber and their employees.

New Policy Committee Co-Chairs Announced
The Chamber is thrilled to announce the new Policy Committee Co-Chairs for the 2021-2022 program year – Kathy Albarado and Laura Linn. Kathy Albarado is the founder and CEO of Helios HR, the leading human capital and talent acquisition consulting firm based in our nation's capital with regional relationships. We partner with clients across the globe to help them hire top talent, navigate the modern workplace, and develop future leaders. Laura Linn is the Corporate Director of Business Development and Strategic Initiatives at Dewberry, a 65-year old, family run planning, design and construction company headquartered in Fairfax. A big thank you to Matt McQueen of Peraton for ably chairing the Policy Committee over the past challenging year.

Now is the time to join the Policy Committee! 2021 is going to be an exciting year, and the Policy Committee will be in the thick of it. This fall, the Committee will meet to develop the 2022 Legislative Agenda. Any Chamber member can join. Please contact Vice President of Government Relations Clayton Medford for more information.

Employers gain access to best practices from organizational peers, sources of prospective apprentice candidates, support services, academic institutions, and training resources.

The GWAN meets on the first Tuesday of each month for an Employer Briefing.
