The NOVA Chamber Foundation Announces its new The NOVA Workforce Network
The Northern Virginia Chamber Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is proud to announce the launch of its new The NOVA Workforce Network, an intentional strategic collaboration of workforce professionals across the region. The Network's goal is to build connections across jurisdictions and bridge divides between employer-focused workforce professionals with worker-focused workforce professionals. The Network is an inclusive and collaborative community of workforce professionals and others interested in workforce innovation. It convenes those interested in finding innovative solutions to our region’s workforce challenges.

The inaugural meeting of the NOVA Workforce Network will be on May 24th. It's free and will be held virtually. Monthly meetings will be held on the 4th Tuesday of each month. All are welcome to attend.
Opportunity to participate in Infrastructure Week Roundtable
Congressman Gerry Connolly is hosting two Infrastructure Week Roundtables in Fairfax County this week. The first discussion will be later this morning, May 3rd, at 11AM and will focus on Northern Virginia Roads and Bridges. It will be held at the Stringfellow Park and Ride Station (4920 Stringfellow Road, Centreville, VA 20120) with a rain location for the Sully District Government Center (4900 Stonecroft Blvd, Chantilly, VA 20151.) The second discussion will be on May 5th at 11AM and focus on Metro and Rail. This will be held at the Burke Centre VRE Station (10399 Premier Court Burke, Virginia 22015.)

Vaccination Requirement: Upon review of both the CDC guidance on community levels of COVID-19 and its website listings showing our own Northen Virginia counties' positive case percentages, the Chamber has removed its proof of COVID-19 vaccination requirements. Additionally, the Chamber will no longer require masks be worn. You are welcome to wear a mask if that makes you comfortable. 
 
As always, if you are sick or feel you are getting sick, we ask that you please stay home.
 
The Chamber will continue to follow COVID-19 guidance from local health departments and the CDC for in person events.
The Greater Washington Apprentice Network May Employer Briefing

The Greater Washington Apprentice Network (GWAN) brings together employers, academic institutions, public and private sectors. Employers gain access to best practices from organizational peers, sources of prospective apprentice candidates, support services, academic institutions, and training resources. The GWAN meets on the first Tuesday of each month for an Employer Briefing.

2022 Mid-Atlantic Innovation Celebration

Join us on May 12th for the party of all parties, the Mid-Atlantic Innovation Celebration. We’ll gather to watch the finalist videos together and applaud their work before we announce, at long last, the 2022 Innovator of the Year. You’ll also have the opportunity to be part of the judging panel as all attendees will vote for their favorite Innovation. The winner of the attendee vote will be crowned the People’s Choice! This event is open to the public, so grab your tickets early as we’re expecting this Celebration to sell out!

Join this exciting new cohort for GovCon CEOs who are transitioning from small to large and learn from leaders whose companies have successfully made the transition.
