The Chamber joins a broad coalition of Business Groups, Transportation Advocates against the Governor's proposed gas tax holiday
On the eve of the Special Session in Richmond, the Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce joined with 60 other organizations to express our opposition to the gas tax holiday proposed by Gov. Youngkin.
“Virginia citizens rely on our transportation network daily for access to jobs, opportunities, healthcare, recreation, and more. We urge Governor Youngkin and the Virginia General Assembly to instead focus on transparent, effective ways to reduce the everyday costs of ordinary Virginians rather than causing long-term harm to our transportation system,” the coalition wrote.
