Dear Members,

Our weekly Doing Business newsletter is below. Before we launch into articles and news, we wish to reassure you that your Chamber will remain open and, through the wonders of technology, actively working to help our membership maintain business continuity during the COVID-19 outbreak. We have implemented systems that will allow our high quality business events to continue online and are formalizing opportunities for you to continue member networking.

Our community is strong and we must help each other. We encourage you to join us in supporting our local businesses either through the purchase of retail and restaurant gift cards or by reaching out to fellow members you've met through the Chamber's events. More on that to come. Watch our social media channels for ways you can connect and promote your business.

Working together we will get through this challenge and emerge with a Northern Virginia Business community that is better than ever. Visit  here  for information on upcoming events and do not hesitate to  contact us  with any questions on engagement, education, or business promotions.

- Your Northern Virginia Chamber of Commerce

In light of Coronavirus interruptions, we are providing a Business Continuity webinar series to help us all keep our NOVA community growing

As the COVID-19 Coronavirus spreads rapidly throughout our country and around the globe, your Chamber has partnered with member experts to provide a webinar series focused on business continuity. Each of these webinars is free to the public.

What you can expect:  each Business Continuity webinar will offer practical suggestions to protect your business from virus-related impact and loss. Join us to hear issues surrounding business and supply chain interruption, workers compensation considerations, setting up and maintaining a remote workforce, general liability, international and domestic travel, employee health considerations, and contingency plans. Our goal is to share the knowledge that employers will need to maintain business in our current environment--and beyond.

Who will be named the 2020 Innovator of the Year?

On May 13th, we'll all gather for the Greater Washington Innovation Celebration, the Region's zaniest event showcasing your great minds and business creativity. This not-to-be-missed night will have it all: live judging, networking, audience picks, team costumes, and cow bells. That's right, we said it, cow bells. At the end of the evening, we'll crown this year's Innovator of the Year and our People's Choice winner! We expect this event to sell out early.
