While the headlines from the 2020 General Assembly included ERA ratification, gun control, marijuana decriminalization, voting rights, and more, inside the Capitol there were hundreds of bills that will have an impact on the Virginia economy that did not make the front page. In all, legislators introduced 3,500 bills this year, and at the time of this writing 1,200 have passed. By the end of the session, we will have helped preserve some key investments like replacing $50 million in Northern Virginia transportation funding, $22 million for Mason, and protecting the Governor’s G3 program. We also worked with a number of other business groups and individual members to improve a number of challenging bills...
