Our inaugural Greater Washington Innovation Celebration was an inspirational, brilliant, and fun show that culminated in Micronic Technologies, Inc. being named the 2020 Innovator of the Year. MPower Me won the People's Choice Award after attendees voted live, during the show.

Over the summer our panel of 17 judges had the difficult task of whittling video entries down to 11 finalists that showcased business ingenuity and creativity and in five key categories: Biotech, Hospitality, HealthTech, Social Impact, and Higher Education. The 2020 winners in these categories were:

  • Innovation Award for BioTech: Micronic Technologies, Inc.
  • Innovation Award for Hospitality: HUNGRY
  • Innovation Award for HealthTech: VideoKall, Inc.
  • Innovation Award for Social Impact: MPower Me
  • Innovation Award for Higher Education: Northern Virginia Community College
