Announcing the Chamber's Monthly CEO and Senior Executive Leadership Group, Led By Steve Gladis
The pressure and responsibilities resulting from executive roles can take their toll, and those in leadership may struggle to find knowledgeable resources who can help them resolve business challenges. In response to this need, the Chamber is pleased to introduce our new CEO and Senior Executive Leadership Group designed to provide our member leaders with a confidential, peer-to-peer business group. Limited to 15 members, this group will be led by Executive Coach and George Mason Professor, Steve Gladis, who will help solve issues important to participants through a group facilitated process called action learning.

Beginning April 14th, participants in our Executive Leadership Group will become connected to a sounding-board group of peers who, working together, will help solve each others' business challenges. In addition, participants will learn problem-solving and leadership techniques that can be immediately applied to their organizations. The group's details include:
  • The group will be limited to 15 members
  • All participants will be of a similar experience
  • The group will consist of 12 monthly, 90-minute Zoom meetings held at night
  • A certificate of completion will be issued by the Chamber

MEMBER ADVOCACY
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT
LEGISLATIVE ALERT - Businesses in Virginia that took advantage of Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) loans last year and had those loans forgiven may not be able to deduct expenses paid for with PPP proceeds. That’s because unlike the federal government the state has chosen to not allow full deductibility. The General Assembly is currently debating two proposals. The House approved a $25,000 deduction limit, while the Senate approved a $100,000 threshold. Both proposals extend the deductibility to businesses who received Rebuild Virginia grants, a very welcome tax relief for small businesses that were not able to get PPP loans. Contact your legislators now! Let them know what deductibility means to your businesses.
